What Are The Classifications Of Wheel Motor Magnetic Field Types?

A hub motor is an electric motor mounted on the wheel hub of a vehicle to provide power directly to the wheels for the movement of the whole vehicle. Depending on the type of motor magnetic field, the drive motor of a hub motor system can be divided into two types: radial and axial. The following is introduced for your reference.

1. Axial flux motors can be used without an iron core, as their structure promotes better heat dissipation.
2. Radial flux motors are characterized by a more uniform force distribution between the stator and rotor, and the magnetic circuit is made of laminated silicon steel sheets, which is a more direct and proven technology.
These are the two types of hub motors, for more information about them, please feel free to consult us
